Mitsuhiro Osawa
My first job was in a trading company where I did corporate sales. I primarily handled televisions and audio equipment. My second job was at a company that provided translation and interpretation services, where I did sales for government offices and corporations. I also worked as a coordinator, assigning the jobs I secured to translators. In 2022, I joined TechReis, where I currently work in sales and as a career advisor.
A gem cannot be polished without friction
I decided to join TechReis through an introduction by an acquaintance. At the time, I was interested in the human resources industry but was struggling with my job search due to lack of experience. When I heard about the company from the representative, I realized that working at a startup would offer a unique experience of building something from scratch, which I might not get another chance to do in my life. Additionally, I felt that if the company grew, I would have the opportunity to challenge myself in the HR and personnel areas that I was initially interested in, so I saw it as a great opportunity.
I find it attractive that the company supports employee challenges and that it is easy to communicate among employees. The company supports challenges by providing opportunities for all employees to discuss internal policies. There have been several policies created based on our discussions about how to make our work environment better, which shows that the company supports its employees. In terms of communication, although we don't have many face-to-face meetings, we actively use Slack for communication, sharing technical information, and casual conversations, which makes it easy to speak up and share ideas.
I think people who can work hard to improve themselves and take initiative towards their ideals will match well with Tech Reis. People who can take action to improve things for themselves and their colleagues will find it easy to benefit from the company's systems and career support. Also, those who can steadily and persistently work towards their goals will find a good fit here.
Yes, I am glad. I have been able to work in the HR field, which I initially wanted, and many opportunities have materialized because I voiced my ideas, such as being involved in recruitment and working with acquaintances. I also feel that the company supports me and that my ideas have been incorporated to improve the company overall.
Yes, it has improved. I work using a combination of a shared office and full remote work, giving me more flexibility than my previous job. I also have a lot of autonomy, which allows for quick decision-making and makes it easier to voice my opinions, contributing to a more comfortable working environment.
I value thinking about how things can be done. Even if something seems difficult to achieve, I try to find ways to make it possible, even if partially, by thinking creatively and taking action.
The most important thing is to make engineers feel that they want to work with me and that they can trust me. If engineers are the main actors, I see career advisors as the support behind the scenes. The foundation needs to be solid for the main actors to succeed, so I focus on earning the trust of engineers in my work.
I start the day with a one-hour meeting with the career advisor team and the representative. We review KPIs, discuss key topics of the week, and practice role-playing to improve interviews. After that, I send scout emails to job seekers, refine job postings, and conduct casual interviews and selection processes. I also communicate with development teams where engineers are involved, interact with engineers, and handle administrative tasks like invoicing as needed.
Many of them are reliable. I have introduced several friends to the company through Ohsawa, which makes communication easier and builds trust. Many engineers also assist with recruitment and internal tasks, showing a lot of initiative. I respect the fact that many engineers receive positive evaluations from clients.
I want to increase the number of people working with us by advancing recruitment in other positions. I aim to do new business development in sales, increase the company's recognition, and bring in people for PR and marketing to expand our capabilities. I want to increase the number of roles and talents that can thrive within our platform. Personally, I want to be able to live in Nagano and create a branch or connections there for the company.
I am currently obsessed with watching fishing videos on YouTube. I don't fish myself, but I find it thrilling to watch big catches. After watching the cooking part of the video, I often feel like going to a seafood izakaya, haha.
Let's work together to achieve the career you desire at Tech Reis!
