Keita Sakakibara
I am from Fukushima Prefecture. I attended a technical high school and then studied at a university focusing on welfare. I have always enjoyed working with computers, so I decided to join a company that specializes in dispatching teams to other companies.
If you fall, fall forward
Because it is the most trustworthy place. Since it was my first time becoming a freelancer, I wanted to receive projects from a place I could trust as much as possible. I had previously worked with the representative of Tech Reis when we were both dispatched to the same workplace, so I had known and trusted him for a long time. In my previous job, I had to work long hours even when I was unwell, which worsened my health in a vicious cycle. When I consulted the representative, he suggested becoming a freelancer to better control my working hours, leading me to join Tech Reis. Later, I got tired of filing my own taxes and decided to join Tech Reis as a full-time employee, haha.
I find it motivating and attractive that the rewards from contracted projects are directly linked to my salary, so I can visibly see my growth as the project rewards increase! Also, as an employee, you can work flexibly like a freelancer while receiving company support, which is another recommended point.
Yes, it has become easier. It is easier for me to express my preferences, and I no longer have to work under difficult conditions dictated by the company. I think this way of working, where I can change my course according to my discretion, suits me very well.
Tech Reis values proactivity, so you won't be forced into projects or ways of working that you don't want. It is recommended for those who want to catch up on chosen technologies at their own pace!
The representative of Tech Reis recommended freelancing to me. I was mentally exhausted and physically unwell due to the company environment, but it took me about a year to make the decision to change my environment. After much thought, I decided that if I didn't make the decision now, I would regret it for the rest of my life, so I decided to become a freelancer.
Yes, I am glad. I no longer have to worry about the company environment. In most jobs, it is difficult to change workplaces even if the environment doesn't suit you, and you can't escape. Especially for SES engineers, switching projects also resets the environment, so you can secure an escape route in case of trouble with the workplace or team members. Just having this option makes me feel much more at ease.
I always try to consider how to make my implementation easily understandable to others.
I am currently involved in a project developing a Shopify integration app, handling both frontend and backend tasks. I work entirely remotely, and as long as I adhere to the working hours, I have the flexibility to start and finish work at my own discretion. I find this level of autonomy very fulfilling!!
I value thinking about what the customer wants while I work.
They are very approachable and easy to talk to! When searching for projects, they look for opportunities that match even the difficult conditions I set. They also provide a lot of support when troubles arise, which is very helpful!
I want to continue building my career as a web engineer. During my time as an employee, I overworked myself to the point of illness, so from now on, I will build my career at my own pace without overexerting myself.
I am currently obsessed with drinking apple cider vinegar soda! Since I started drinking it daily, I feel less fatigued!
Within ten years, I want to achieve a stable income while working a three-day week! I will also continue to hone my skills to ensure I can work fully remotely even ten years from now!
I originally became an employee because I found the various procedures like tax filing as a freelancer too cumbersome! If you have similar concerns, please consider joining us!
